Women's Primary Health Care
Did you know that certified nurse-midwives can provide primary care for women? In addition to being Midwives we are also board certified nurse practitioner's. This means we are qualified to independently manage your total health care, which may include:
- Promotion and maintenance of health
- Prevention of illness and disability
- Management of health care during acute and chronic phases of illness and coordination of care
- Admission of our clients to health services including but not limited to home health, hospice, long term care and drug and alcohol treatment
- Consultation and/or collaboration with other health care providers and community resources. Or referral to other health care providers and community
- Use of research skills
- Diagnosis of health/illness status
- Prescribing, dispensing, and administration of a variety of therapies including legend drugs and controlled substances as provided in Division 56 of the Oregon Nurse Practice Act

Health Promotion and Disease Prevention
Our midwives support healthy habits and can help you to prevent illness.
We partner with you to enhance your overall health by identifying risk factors and providing education on how to modify your lifestyle to improve your health and prevent disease by:
- Age appropriate screening
- Immunizations
- Annual exams
- Workshops
- Laboratory tests
- Referrals when needed
